How To Use

Mix one sachet (5 g) into 500–1000 ml of cold water and stir or shake well. Less water and it tastes stronger and saltier; more water and it's milder and easier to sip. The minerals are identical either way, so mix it the way you'll actually drink it.

The simplest way to use it is as a reason to finish the bottle. Season your water and the litre goes down without you thinking about it — before a session, during a long one, after anything hot, or on the days you simply forgot to drink.

Ingredients & Nutrition

KEY INGREDIENTS:

Sodium — 510 mg (from 1,300 mg sodium chloride) — the electrolyte you lose most of in sweat, by a wide margin. It is also the one that tastes salty, which is why most drinks quietly go light on it and lean on sweetness instead. Sodium is what tells your body to hold onto the water you drink rather than pass it straight through.

Potassium — 250 mg (from 750 mg potassium citrate) — works opposite sodium to balance fluid inside and outside your cells. Between them they decide where the water actually goes, which is the difference between drinking two litres and being hydrated by two litres.

Magnesium — 110 mg (from 630 mg magnesium citrate) — the one most tied to muscle function. If you get the twitchy calf at 11pm or cramp through a long session, magnesium is usually the missing piece. Citrate rather than oxide, because it absorbs far better.

Aquamin® Calcium — 100 mg (delivering 32 mg elemental calcium) — calcium drawn from red marine algae rather than synthesised. Calcium works with magnesium on muscle contraction, which is the half of the cramping story most electrolyte drinks leave out entirely.

Coconut Water Powder — 250 mg — a whole-food electrolyte source alongside the four minerals, and where the gentle sweetness comes from. Real coconut water, not a flavour pretending to be it.

No added sugar at all — 0.2 g of naturally occurring sugars a serve. Most sports drinks were built for endurance athletes who needed the carbohydrate. If you are doing a 45-minute class, you are buying a lot of sugar to reach a little mineral.

Super yummy
Super yummy. Wish these came in a tub instead of packaged individually as it seems a waste of packaging to be individually wrapped and not great for the environment. If they change it to be offered in tub form I will definitely buy more!
